Objectives

To identify and eliminate mosquito breeding sources within participating college premises through regular surveillance and source reduction activities by student-led teams.
To establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for maintaining breeding-free campuses.
To promote Behavioural Change Communication (BCC) activities for updating college authorities, faculty, students, and support staff on vector surveillance, source reduction, and preventive measures.
To institutionalize periodic inspections, self-monitoring, and reporting mechanisms in collaboration with corporation officials.
To recognize and certify colleges that consistently maintain breeding-free premises based on predefined criteria.
To develop participating colleges as models to replicate this initiative across other educational institutions in Chennai.

Only currently pursuing college students are eligible to apply.
